QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be Chicana/Latina women of the Northern California
counties; must be enrolled in accredited colleges, universities and
community colleges in one of the listed Northern California counties;
must have been residents for at least two years in one of the listed
Northern California counties; must be enrolled as full-time college
students, have completed a minimum of 15 college semester units after
high school graduation, and have at least a 2.5 GPA; must have
demonstrated leadership and civic/community involvement.
La Voz Latina Scholarships
FUNDS AVAILABLE: No specific amount.
DEADLINE: March 14.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be high school graduates of Hispanic origin who reside
in Winnebago County; must be enrolled in a post-secondary education
program; must be students completing high school who are pusuing the
challenge and benefits of higher education, current college students,
and non-traditional students seeking to return to school.
LLN Scholarships
FUNDS AVAILABLE: $500.
NUMBER OF AWARDS: 10.
DEADLINE: January 31.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must be of Latina heritage (one parent fully Latino or each
parent half Latino); have 24 units of college work (may include work
in-progress); have earned a 2.5 minimum GPA; and currently enrolled in a
California Community College.
Lydia Cruz and Sandra Maria Ramos Scholarships
FUNDS AVAILABLE: No specific amount.
NUMBER OF AWARDS: 1.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be current Latina high school seniors who are entering
their first year of college at a two or four year higher learning
institution.
National Association of Campus Activities Multicultural Scholarship Programs
FUNDS AVAILABLE: No specific amount.
DEADLINE: May 1.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be matriculated undergraduates in good standing at the
time of their application and during the semester in which the award is
received; must be a member of the African-American, Latina/Latino,
Native American, Asian American, or Pacific Islander ethnic minorities;
hold a significant leadership position on campus or in the community;
have made significant contributions via volunteer involvement, either on
or off the campus.
Thesaurus Linguae Latinae Fellowships (TTL)
FUNDS AVAILABLE: $50,400.
DURATION: One year.
DEADLINE: November 14.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; must have a
PhD. degree or anticipate the degree in the next few months.
